Sun’s blackbox is coming to Australia. It will be in Sidney on December 18 and Canberra on December 20.

What’s blackbox anyway?

Well blackbox is a Datacenter in a shipping container. That’s right, in a standard shipping container. You can moved your Datacenter easily. The motto says “Just add water, electricity, and bandwidth”.

How many servers blackbox capable to handle? It’s more than 250 servers. And about 1.5 petabytes of storage. The blackbox itself is delivered pre-configured and ready to run.
