What i’m talk about is about an old computer. Well, it’s not my first computer, but still, I amazed with this computer. It’s Apple II.

First time I know Apple II, is introduced by a friend. I saw this Apple II in a corner of my friends room. And I said, what’s this? “Oh, it’s an Apple”, He said. By that time, the newest computer in that room is an 486dx4-100Mhz.

Then he tell a funny story how he buy this Apple II. In electronic market, he amazed, how a television can show a text. And also we can write in it too. After a short talk with the shop sales. He buy it. Even though, he did not know how to use it. It’s funny enought for me, to buy something that you don’t know.

And then he demonstrated some game on Apple II. First game is digger. And I amazed, that he still keep the disk, a 5’12 disk. Single side. 360KB. Back to the game, and the second game is, *ugh* I forgot the name, but it’s something with ladder and a man chased by the enemy. Wew, that’s very attractive games. Even though in that time, I already played DOOM and Heretic Multiplayer.

I wondering, is the computer still can be started? Doesn’t know, I haven’t contacted him yet.

Is there anyone have it one and is it can be turn it on? I miss playing those games. Is there any emulator that run Apple II that run on linux. I found one, but it’s not working on linux. Anyone found an emulator of Apple II, drop a comment please.
